In 2009, Grant followed several other Portland high schools and established an Athletic Hall of Fame. The inspiration was the PIL (Portland Interscholastic League) Hall of Fame, which began honoring members in 1983, holding an annual induction ceremony.

During our inaugural induction on October 19, 2009, all of the previous Grant PIL inductees (*) were honored, along with six additional athletes. Most of the athetes were present for the ceremony, which was held in the auditorium. Family members respresented most of the deceased honorees.
