Fast forward to 2019
On September 7, 2019, the grand (re-)opening ceremony began outside the front of the school. The speakers included the principal, vice-principal, Portland Public Schools Superintendent, Chair of the Multnomah County Commission, the Portland mayor, congressman, and students.
Following the opening ceremony, the doors were opened for tours of the newly remodeled school. An alumni basketball game was the first game to be played in the new gym.
