Here's a very interesting article about the school's recent remodel; read it here. Thanks to Margaret Schack Davis, '60, for the heads up!

Construction gets underway

It took two years to complete remodeling Grant High School, but the end results were worth it as you can see from the photos and videos below. Students returned to campus in September of 2019, only to continue learning from home in March of 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. In-person classes began again in the fall of 2021.

Read more about the remodeling project by clicking here (photos courtesy of Tracie Marrs Lynch, '73). See additional pictures (photos by John Hamnett, '63) on the Grant1963 website and the PPS Flickr website. Or, view a virtual walk-through by watching this YouTube video.

When you've finished looking through this page, be sure to visit the "A New School" webpage to see the finished result and grand re-opening!

Sundial restoration

Picture
The WWII memorial sundial, dedicated to the memory of the 101 Grant High School students who lost their lives in the war, was restored by some members of the construction crew, who are also veterans. On their own initiative, these vets took on, and paid for, the project in respect for their fallen brothers. Click here to watch the ceremony.
